DECOMMISSIONING MATTERS
You get greater financial benefit for decommissioning your old, inefficient existing heating and cooling systems too. Whilst gas ducted systems and underfloor electric heating attract the highest rebate values for decommissioning, you will get extra cash for decommissioning old electric hard wired split or gas heating system.
You can decommission as many old systems as you are having new ones installed (up to 5). You can only claim the decommissioning of an old unit once though.
